Training-cum-Production Centre :

Industrial Cell at Lokasiksha Parishad , Ramakrishna  Mission Ashrama , Narendrapur was initiated in the year 1979 with the financial assistance from cottage & Small scale Industries , Government of West Bengal with a purpose to extend employment

opportunities for the un-employment and school drop-out youths by imparting training on deferent trades  . The Parishad introduce a few training-cum-production units to make the trainees familiar with the practical job . The cell runs Three units .

  •  Carpentry
  • Apiary
  • Food processing
  • Tailoring
  • Incense stick making

During the process of practical training. Various finished goods/products produced are sold through the centres of Ramakrishna Mission and other outlets like Khadi, State State Government and other agencies. Training is imparted by experienced and efficient trainers, whose guidance made the trainees self-sufficient to earn their livelihood either through employment in renowned establishments or become self-employed having their own production unit. The Unit also create indirect employment
by involving about 250 pullers, who sell our products to earn their livelihood. The consolidated turnover in all the three units stands at Rs.45.00.000/- (approx.) and 13 numbers of trainees have been engaged as workers.
