Middle Level Training Centre (MLTC)

Middle Level Training Centres are engaged in the training of Supervisors and Instructors of Anganwadi Workers and Helpers.

Middle Level Training Centre (MLTC) under the aegis of Ramakrishna Mission Lokasiksha Parishad, Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Narendrapur has been set up in 2003, at the behest of Department of Social Welfare (Now Directorate of ICDS), Government of West Bengal Job Training and Refresher Training was imparted to the supervisors till 2006. Then Refresher Training to the Supervisors continued upto 2010. Since the inception, the Institute conducted the Job/Orientation and Refresher Training Courses of Supervisors and AWWs and Helpers also.

Supervisors are the key functionaries to organize monitor the activities of Anganwadi Workers under their jurisdiction, maintain liaison with the Child Development Project Officer (CDPO), Workers and the community and render assistance to the CDPO of the Project.

Since its inception 253 Supervisors have undergone Job Training and 1212 Supervisors Refresher Training. Apart from training to the Supervisors, the MLTC has been entrusted with the training of Anganwadi Workers (AWW) and Anganwadi Helpers (AWH) from time to time. So far 1465 AWW have undergone Job Training and Orientation Training has been given to 272 SWH.
